We were contacted by a couple board members for the Olney Public Library about creating an updated and cleaner version of the website that they had at that time. We had a meeting with Charlotte and Judy about the direction they wanted to go with the new site. We hashed out some of the key elements of the site such as the layout, colors, etc. We vectored an image of Sir Reads A Lot to use as the site’s header logo. There was some custom coding that had to be done to make some of the widgets work correctly. They also wanted their OPL Facebook page to be integrated with the website. The site was built on the WordPress platform to help the client be able to update the content easier. A calendar was incorporated to give the public a calendar of events. The header image was taken courtesy of Tim Dunahee. We also met with the employees after the site was finished to teach them how to update information on the site.
